Brewing up a near perfect pint

John Golics had no idea he
had just created a near perfect beer when he first tried his homebrewed bock
rauchbier.

The German-style smoked
beer has just been awarded champion status at the Society of Beer Advocates
(SOBA) National Home Brew Competition.

A group of expert judges
gave it 48 points out of 50 which was more than enough to beat 417 beers from
across the country.
