Here’s What a Beer Will Cost You, From Kiev to Geneva
Not all beers are equal—and neither are their prices.
GoEuro collected data on the price of beer at both supermarkets and bars in cities around the world and averaged them to create the Beer Price Index. The online travel site found that Geneva had the most expensive average beer price at $6.32 ($1.87 in stores and $10.77 at bars), while prices were tied for cheapest in Kraków and Kiev: $1.66 each. Unsurprisingly, New York ranked toward the expensive end of the list at $5.20 a beer ($8.97 in bars and $1.44 in stores), even higher than San Francisco, whose average beer cost $3.97.
